There's always so much going on. It's no surprise that, from time to time, even thoughts that are merely days old seem to slip through the ever-loosened cracks of your mind.
As much as those beloved, intimate memories of yours try to grapple themselves deep into the fragile canvas of your psyche, the ruthless grinder that is time will still tear them off, leaving them to drift into the unknown.
No choice but to consent, and hope that at least some of them will be back to visit you. Sometime.
