These fortified inns are a beautiful sight, like shining beacons of light, music, and life in the lonely desert, its shimmering cinders fighting off the Siberian wind, with smoke and exotic fragrances seducing any weary traveler. And it’s a great place to find an authentic old rug you can stick on the wall back home!
