Extra Special Bitter, 13° Plato, 4.7% ABV. Když do Prahy vyrazili estonští Anderson’s, domluvili jsme se, že chceme udělat cosi nekonvenčního. Pivo, jaké nepijeme každý den. Kdy jste naposled pili Extra Special Bitter? My taky už dávno ne. Rozhodli jsme se držet klasických receptů a uvařit něco, čeho by si za pintu mohli dopřát za mládí naši tátové, kdyby nebyli zavření za železnou oponou (a na nesprávné straně La Manche). Maris Otter s trochou karamelového sladu pro pestřejší charakter, tradiční londýnské kvasnice a chmelení jen pomocí East Kent Golding, jak se to má. Dad Pint je pitelný, osobitý ejl. Kvasné estery s výrazným sladem tvoří aroma plné tmavého ovoce s tóny chlebové kůrky, zatímco nižší prokvašení zvyšuje jeho jemnost.
When guys from Anderson’s paid us a visit in Prague, we wanted to do something more off the wall. A beer we don’t get to drink daily. What was the last time you drank an Extra Special Bitter? Yep, for us it’s been a while as well. We decided to stick to the old-school recipes and brew a pint that our dads could’ve drank in their youth, were they not stuck on the wrong side of the wall (and La Manche). Maris Otter with some crystal malt for more character, proper London yeast and only East Kent Goldings, that’s the way. Dad Pint is drinkable, yet full of character. Yeast esters meet the toasty malt to create an aroma full of dark fruits with warm bread notes, while lower attenuation keeps it smooth and easy-going.
