More: For our maiden brew on our new brewing kit we wanted to do something special. What did beer taste like before we started using hops? This beer, a Gruit, is our take on the medieval Dutch practice to use a mix of herbs to brew beer. It contains absolutely no hops at all! We used yarrow, ground ivy, heather, horehound, wild wormwood, and some juniper berries to flavour this unique beer.
